Khushi felt the morning light infiltrate her consciousness, rousing her from slumber. Not quite ready to wake yet, she refused to open her eyes and inhaled a deep breath. Her lips instantly stretched into a smile as the first scent she sensed was one of warm cinnamon musk and masculinity. Her fingers twitched before they lightly caressed over the surface they rested upon, taking in smooth bare skin. She sighed in contentment as her lids finally fluttered open. She took a moment to listen to the strong dhak dhak dhak resounding under her ear. Her smile widened as she looked up. Her eyes slowly traced a visual path up a chiseled chest, absorbing the sight of a stubbly dimpled chin, deliciously disheveled hair, and a pair of perfectly pouted lips kissed with a cupid’s bow. Her heart fluttered, devastated by such effortless perfection. And to think, it all belonged to her. She continued to admire the view as the rise and fall of calm, deep breaths soothed her soul and rocked her head in a comforting rhythm. She shifted slightly, wanting to snuggle deeper into the luring warmth laying half beside and half beneath her. Her leg slowly wandered amidst tangled sheets until her bare calf met with an equally bare thigh. She blushed at their morning state as memories of the prior night flashed across her mind. The pulls…the tugs…the insistence…the ringing in the background…. “Kya?!”...
